Senior Principal IT Architect - Global TOSCA Test Engineering Lead role at Medtronic. The Global TOSCA Test Engineering Lead is responsible for leading the planning, design, and execution of automated testing strategies using the Tosca platform to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior testers and external vendors, and drive continuous improvement in testing practices. Responsibilities

Act as a trusted advisor and liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring a clear understanding of testing solutions, automation strategies, and how testing outcomes drive decision-making and quality assurance. Collaborate with leaders and cross-functional teams to implement end-to-end testing processes, including requirements gathering, test planning, execution, and defect management. Lead and participate in agile ceremonies, driving the definition and refinement of testing strategies, team norms, and continuous improvement initiatives. Facilitate requirements analysis to identify testing needs; document current testing processes, data flows, and contribute to designing optimized future testing frameworks. Translate business requirements into comprehensive test strategies, including automation frameworks and test cases, ensuring alignment with technical specifications. Define, document, and coordinate all testing activities, including unit, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Advise stakeholders on best practices for test automation, performance testing, and risk-based testing approaches while balancing technical feasibility, effort, and impact. Analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and present solutions in clear and actionable testing workflows and documentation. Identify opportunities to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness through automation and process improvement; define and implement optimized test practices. Build strong knowledge of Medtronic’s products, systems, and testing environments to deliver high-quality software solutions. Provide clear and proactive communication to stakeholders, ensuring alignment on testing progress, risks, and results while driving collaboration toward shared goals. Promote good architectural practice through defined technology and human interaction patterns and architecture mentorship. Support the full lifecycle management of the IT portfolio including selection, usage, enhancement and replacement of IT applications, infrastructure and services. Qualifications

MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications): Bachelor’s degree; 10+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8+ years with an advanced degree NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications): Experience with agile methodologies, iterative testing cycles, and continuous delivery Ability to define and improve testing processes and frameworks for efficiency and coverage Experience translating requirements into technical specifications and delivering automated solutions Strong problem-solving, communication skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities Understanding of system design, development lifecycles and integration with testing processes Experience implementing automation technologies in areas such as Pricing, Quoting, and Contracting Hands-on involvement in large-scale Quote-to-Cash transformation projects with robust testing frameworks Familiarity with testing tools such as ALM, TOSCA, LoadRunner, Selenium Ability to interpret end-to-end business processes and troubleshoot complex issues Experience developing and validating Quote-to-Cash business processes from a testing perspective Understanding of infrastructure and network configurations across multiple SaaS products About Medtronic and EEO
