Our Pose Team is a diverse group of algorithm developers / software engineers focused on delivering mapping, localization, and calibration solutions hosted on the vehicle and in the Cloud. Pose is a core capability of the autonomy stack delivering products to Perception, Prediction, Planning, Control, and others. As a Sr. Software Engineer on the Pose team, you will work on and provide technical leadership for a wide variety of localization and calibration problems including real-time algorithm development on the vehicle. Responsibilities
Develop advanced algorithms with a primary focus on estimating precise vehicle pose and localization Process and fuse data from various sensors, including GNSS, IMU, wheel/radar/visual odometry, to create state-of-the-art global and relative localization systems Implement algorithms in
C++
and analyze their performance and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using
Python Integrate these algorithms into our autonomous vehicle architecture, including migrating them to real-time embedded systems and ensuring robust integrity monitoring Provide technical leadership to small teams working on these critical activities Qualifications
M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field
3+ years of robotics, AV (Autonomous Vehicle), or other real-time, safety-critical experience
Research and development experience in one or more of the following areas: SLAM / Factor Graphs Sensor calibration Sensor fusion Stochastic estimation/Kalman filtering Autonomous Vehicles/ADAS
Strong C/C++ programming skills and experience, including demonstrating, promoting and mentoring best software engineering practices Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment Good team player with great communication and leadership skills Passionately motivated to take ideas from R&D phase to a product Preferred Qualifications
Experience with computer vision, IMU, camera, LiDAR, and radar Non-linear optimization, batch estimation Experience with ground truth algorithms and algorithm evaluation Adapting algorithms for real world use cases, considering corner cases, using imperfect data Embedded software development experience Software development for safety critical systems (ISO 26262) Pay Disclosure
Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $179,000.00 - $223,800.00 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law). Benefits Summary
