La Rabida Children’s Hospital is hiring a full-time Senior Financial Analyst for the Finance department in Chicago, IL.
Job Summary: The financial analyst will assist in the preparation of the operational and capital budgets, review and analyze departmental variance analyses, provide various financial reports and analyses for senior management and Financial Committees of the Board, develop key performance indicators and operational benchmarking, analyze economics of various programs and functions, maintain liaison with departmental leadership and administrative staff in the preparation and analyses of financial reports to resolve problems concerning budget variances, provide information to various external organizations and professional organizations concerning fiscal operations, assist Financial Management in various special projects and requests, perform other duties as directed.
Responsibilities
Assists in the preparation of the annual budget. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Develop dashboards and KPIs for leadership review. Reviews and analyzes monthly variances to budget. Review and prepare inter-department cost allocation schedules. Function as the System Administrator for the budget tool (Axiom / Strata), including access rights. Related to actual financial statements - perform monthly data downloads, review of key performance indicators, and monthly report distribution. Maintain liaison with department leaders regarding spending variances and developing the annual budget. Provide monthly recommendations for corrective actions along with department leadership. Provide information to external organizations. Prepare reports for Senior Management and Financial Committees of the Board. Ad hoc ROI and cost benefit analysis across programs and functions. Support financial system upgrades and data integrity initiatives. Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements. Support monthly Revenue Cycle reimbursement analysis. Assist with other duties as directed. What We Need From You
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA or MBA preferred. Related Work Experience: 3-5 years of healthcare, 6+ years total of finance-related experience required. Licensure/Certification: CPA preferred Specialized Knowledge & Skills: Microsoft Office, proficiency in Excel, forecasting, and modeling required. Proficiency in Meditech, Athena, or Budget Advisor required Compensation
Pay Range: $80k - $112k. What You Will Receive
