Account Executives, Channel Account Managers, Business Development Representatives, Solution Engineers, Customer Success, and Sales Operations work together to help customers adopt Cloudflare and create great Internet-enabled experiences. The sales team solves real, technical problems while generating revenue to support free services for millions in our community. What you\'ll do
As a Strategic Account Executive, you will develop and execute a Sales plan for Strategic accounts, build pipeline, and close sales to achieve revenue targets. You will have a strong network of decision-makers in large enterprise accounts across the region and experience selling complex solutions to these accounts. You will understand the business and technical needs of these accounts and create compelling value propositions. You will drive sales into large enterprise (Strategic) accounts headquartered in the UK and Ireland for Cloudflare\'s solutions. Strategic enterprise accounts include, but are not limited to, Forbes G2000 / FTSE 100 companies and organisations with substantial Cloudflare requirements. This will be primarily new business with a trajectory toward expansion of won accounts over time. Your strategic selling activities will include hunter-style prospecting, detailed account planning, relationship building, and leading effective sales campaigns to successful closures. The ideal candidate will have a major account sales background in technology solutions (software/SaaS and security) enabling engagement with senior decision-makers within Cloudflare\'s target customers. Industry experience is desired. Additional responsibilities
Manage contract negotiations. Maintain a robust sales pipeline. Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts. Travel up to 50%. Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience
Bachelor\'s degree required. Direct experience, track record, and relationships within the largest corporate enterprise accounts in the UK & Europe. 10-20+ years of direct B2B selling experience, 5-10+ years selling to large enterprise/strategic accounts. Direct experience selling network security and/or CDN solutions and services preferred. Experience managing longer, complex sales cycles. Basic understanding of computer networking and how the Internet works. Aptitude for learning technical concepts; technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS is a plus. Strong interpersonal communication (verbal and written) and organisational skills. Self-motivated; entrepreneurial spirit. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
