Penn Medicine Clinician Job Description Summary
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine seeks a Penn Medicine Clinician (PMC). The position is based at the Heart and Vascular Center at Penn Medicine Radnor. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year with renewal based on satisfactory performance. Responsibilities will primarily include outpatient consultative cardiology, non-invasive cardiology imaging interpretation, and will cover inpatient services as required. The preferred candidate will have level III echocardiographic training. Applicants must have an M.D. degree and demonstrate qualifications in education, teaching, and clinical care. Teaching opportunities will be available with cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students. Applicants must also be board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine. The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine seeks a Penn Medicine Clinician (PMC). The position is based at the Heart and Vascular Center at Penn Medicine Radnor. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year with renewal based on satisfactory performance. Responsibilities will primarily include outpatient consultative cardiology, non-invasive cardiology imaging interpretation, and will cover inpatient services as required. The preferred candidate will have level III echocardiographic training. Applicants must have an M.D. degree and demonstrate qualifications in education, teaching, and clinical care. Teaching opportunities will be available with cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students. Applicants must also be board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine. The Heart and Vascular Center at Radnor is housed in a state-of-the-art ambulatory facility opened in 2020. It is an active outpatient cardiovascular practice staffed by four anchor general cardiologists and multiple sub-specialty cardiologists rotating regularly. In FY 2023 there were 2,500 new patient visits and 14,000 return visits. The practice oversees a cardiovascular diagnostic center with echocardiograms (4,000 annually), stress echocardiograms (600 annually), and nuclear perfusion stress tests (450 annually). The clinical practice is integrated with the larger division centered at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Qualifications
M.D.; License to practice medicine without restriction or limitation in Pennsylvania; DEA Licensure. 0-1 year of related experience in a specified medical field. As a member of the Associated Faculty, participate in a minimum of 50 hours per year of active teaching or equivalent service. The effort for Penn Medicine Clinicians is 95% clinical and 5% education. Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiovascular Medicine.
