The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist produces radiographic images for medical interpretation, interacts with healthcare staff, clerical staff, patient care departments, patients\' families and visitors. This position is responsible for performing the correct radiologic exams and producing high-quality images.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Graduate from a two (2) year certificate program certified by the ASRT in Radiology Technology Registered or eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Licensed or eligible for license by the State of Arkansas in Radiology Technology Preferred Qualifications: More than one (1) year of experience in diagnostic radiology or a related field CPR certified

Job Responsibilities: Perform optimal x-rays; lift 25 lbs or more Rotate through modalities, portables on floors, surgery, fluoro and the emergency department; cover diagnostic imaging at UAMS Health Specialty Center at Rodney Parham Communicate with patients, families, co-workers and physicians Pursue ongoing education and learn new procedures daily Answer phones and communicate with different floors in the hospital Move C-ARM and OARM equipment Interact with and assist the public professionally and respectfully Demonstrate effective communication; maintain confidentiality when necessary Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and departments; follow patient- and family-centered care concepts and code of conduct guidelines Assist internal and external stakeholders with exceptional customer service Other duties may be assigned Physical Requirements Stand frequently; sit occasionally; walk frequently Lift and carry 25 lbs; push/pull 25 lbs Use hands to touch, handle or feel frequently Talk and hear continuously; read and think analytically continuously Physical environment: inside medical facility; moderate noise Visual requirements: color discrimination, depth perception, far and near visual acuity Hazards: biological, chemical, dust, electrical, fumes/gases/odors, radiation, sharp objects/tools Salary Information:
