In this role, you will be responsible for setting the stage for the patient experience by professionally and efficiently providing patients and visitors with unparalleled customer service in keeping with NewYork-Presbyterian’s goal of “We put Patients First.” Under direction, maintains a smooth workflow within the assigned department registration areas. Oversees the registration process to ensure patients are registered courteously, confidentially, efficiently, and accurately. Interview patients or representatives for financial and demographic data and input information into the Hospital’s ADT/EHR computer systems. Performs a variety of clerical duties directly related to the registration, admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients according to hospital policies and procedures.

This is a full-time evening shift position 4:00pm-12:00am including all weekends/holidays, located at the NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Responsibilities

Interview patients or representatives for financial and demographic data and accurately input information into the hospital’s ADT/EHR system.

Perform clerical duties related to the registration, admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients according to hospital policies and procedures.

Maintain a smooth workflow within the assigned department registration areas and ensure patients are registered courteously, confidentially, efficiently, and accurately.

Provide patients and visitors with professional, courteous, and customer-focused service aligned with the hospital’s goal of “We put Patients First.”

Qualifications Preferred Criteria:

Experience in a complex clinic setting and/or Patient Access Department.

Knowledge of Medical Terminology.

Required Criteria:

High school diploma/GED

Minimum of one year of registrar-related experience.

Basic computer literacy.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Superior customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work independently.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

$25.58-$27.78/Hourly
