Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week (Combination of Office and Retail Floor) About Us

Jake and Jones is a dynamic and rapidly growing retail business that is committed to offering top-quality products and outstanding customer service. We're looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and versatile team member to join us in a unique hybrid role that combines digital marketing, e-commerce, and retail floor responsibilities. Position Overview

The Marketing and Brand Manager will be responsible for driving our digital marketing strategies, managing e-commerce communications, overseeing our website, and assisting with daily retail operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about both digital marketing and hands-on retail interaction. Responsibilities

Social Media Marketing (5-10 hours/week)

Develop, execute, and analyze social media strategies across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and others. Create and schedule engaging posts, stories, and content to promote products, sales, and brand initiatives. Monitor social media trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform content strategy. Engage with customers via social channels, respond to comments/messages, and build community engagement. Collaborate with influencers and brand partners for product promotions and campaigns. E-Commerce Newsletters (5 hours/week)

Design, write, and send weekly e-commerce newsletters to our customer database. Analyze email performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, etc.) and optimize for higher engagement and grow subscriber base. Segment email lists to send targeted offers, promotions, and new product announcements. Maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging across all email communications. Website Management (5-10 hours/week)

Regularly update and maintain content on our e-commerce website, ensuring accurate product listings, pricing, and promotions. Work with the web team to troubleshoot any website issues or improvements. Monitor site traffic and user experience to improve conversions and customer satisfaction. Ensure the site’s aesthetic aligns with current marketing campaigns and brand guidelines. Creative Content Writing for Substack (5 hours/week)

Write and manage bi-weekly content for our Substack newsletter, Picnic, with a focus on storytelling, brand updates, and product highlights. Research relevant topics, trends, and customer interests to create engaging and informative articles. Develop a unique voice and consistent style for the Substack that resonates with our audience. Curate content that builds community, provides value, and encourages subscriber engagement and growth. Work closely with the team to ensure content is paired with visually engaging graphics, seasonal product and relevant. Creative Graphic & Art Direction (5-10 hours/week)

Lead the creative direction for all digital content, including social media posts, newsletters, website visuals, and Substack. Design eye-catching graphics, and marketing collateral that align with brand aesthetics. Ensure a cohesive visual identity across all platforms (social, website, print materials, etc.). Create video content, animations, and other creative assets. Stay up-to-date with design trends and implement fresh, innovative ideas to enhance the brand’s visual storytelling. Lead art direction for weekly photoshoots with our photography team. Retail Floor Responsibilities (5-10 hours/week)

Provide excellent customer service by assisting with product selection, answering questions, and ensuring an enjoyable shopping experience. Maintain store appearance, restock shelves, and organize displays according to company standards. Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment. Help with in-store promotions, sales, and marketing events. Ensure that the retail store environment aligns with the brand’s identity and online presence. Initiate creative ways to clientele including events, pop ups, gift with purchase. Required Skills and Experience

Proven experience in social media marketing, content creation, and e-commerce (e.g., newsletters, product listings). Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and marketing strategies. Extensive experience with Shopify Admin, Shopify POS Familiarity with email marketing platform, Klaviyo Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in both digital and retail environments. Customer-focused with a friendly, positive attitude and a passion for retail. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or other design tools is a requirement. Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a bonus but not required. Knowledge of SEO, paid advertising (Google Ads, Facebook Ads), and basic graphic design. Schedule & Benefits
