Overview
St. Luke’s University Health Network , the region’s largest, most established health system, and one of the nation’s top teaching hospitals, is seeking a full-time board certified or board eligible physiatrist to join our dedicated interdisciplinary team. The role primarily resides in an outpatient setting doing general rehabilitation with the opportunity for inpatient consults. Our team has a strong referral base from subspecialty colleagues and our 3 acute inpatient rehab units, focusing on general neuro rehab, stroke, spasticity, amputee care, ultrasound-guided procedures, musculoskeletal care, and bracing. Narcotic management is not part of our practice. Call is 1:6 weeks and consists mainly of consults, with Internal Medicine covering primary call on our inpatient units. St. Luke’s University Health Network has 3 CARF-accredited acute inpatient rehabilitation centers, each accredited in Stroke Specialty and Amputation Specialty programs. Our inpatient consultation services and opportunities in continuity outpatient clinics foster collaborative relationships with multiple specialties.
Responsibilities
Provide outpatient general rehabilitation with opportunities for inpatient consults. Collaborate with subspecialty colleagues and participate in a multidisciplinary team. Support inpatient units as needed for consults; participate in call schedule (1:6 weeks). Engage in ultrasound-guided procedures, musculoskeletal care, spasticity management, and bracing as part of rehabilitation activities. Participate in narcotic-free pain management framework.
