Responsibilities Develop disaster recovery plans for multiple systems, including those that are integrated with other systems, and establish a business continuity plan covering all aspects of standard business continuity plans.
Collaborate with executives, management, and subject matter experts across the client organization to develop, maintain, or implement business continuity and disaster recovery strategies and solutions, including risk assessments, business impact analyses, strategy selection, and documentation of procedures.
Plan, conduct, and debrief regular mock-disaster exercises to test plan adequacy and update procedures and plans accordingly.
Act as a coordinator for continuity efforts after a disruption event.
Scope of Services Encompasses highly technical and supervisory responsibilities in BCP activities.
Collaborate with business and IT organizations to develop and refine continuity strategies.
Provide expert advice, assess risks, and deliver solutions to ensure preparedness for unexpected disruptions.
Develop emergency management plans for recovery decision making and communications, continuity of critical departmental processes, or temporary shutdown of non-critical departments to ensure continuity of operation and governance.
Develop disaster recovery plans for physical locations with critical assets, such as data centers.
Test documented disaster recovery strategies and plans.

Review existing disaster recovery, crisis management, or business continuity plans.
Establish, maintain, or test call trees to ensure appropriate communication during disaster.
Conduct or oversee contingency plan integration and operation.
Write reports to summarize testing activities, including goals, planning, scheduling, execution, results, analysis, conclusions, and recommendations.
Create business continuity and disaster recovery budgets.
Attend professional meetings, read literature, and participate in training to stay abreast of new developments and technologies related to disaster recovery and business continuity.
Desirable Skills / Experience Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) preferred
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred
Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans: 5+ years (Required)
Experience in developing and implementing BCDR plans across multiple industries
Experience in conducting risk assessments, business impact analyses, and continuity exercises
BA or BS; degree in a relevant field such as Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery, Information Technology, or Risk Management
