What You’ll Be Doing
Drive the Vision: Execute the product strategy for Slack's mobile experience, with an obsessive focus on quality, performance, and user engagement. You’ll be a key player working alongside the mobile director of product.
Lead Core Projects: Drive projects focused on the heart of the Slack experience, ensuring a comprehensible information architecture and evolving our mobile offering to meet the unique needs of our customers.
Collaborate Deeply: Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Analytics to represent the mobile vision, facilitate discussions, ensure quality implementation, and participate in prioritization and planning.
Stay Updated with the Ecosystem: Ensure our applications stay current with changes to mobile OS standards by understanding upcoming releases and new devices and capabilities.
Define and Measure Success: Establish and analyze key success metrics and user behavior to inform product decisions and demonstrate impact on core drivers of user satisfaction: quality, findability, and usefulness.
Work in the Open: Share contributions to solicit feedback from peers, executives, and cross-functional partners.
What You Should Have
5+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of shipping successful, high-impact mobile products for Android and iOS.
Craft Champion: Demonstrated passion for building products with best-in-class craft. A high bar for user experience and the ability to balance innovation and speed without sacrificing quality and delight.
Deep knowledge of the mobile landscape, including design guidelines and the capabilities of iOS and Android.
Customer-centric analysis: Ability to synthesize quantitative data (usage metrics, A/B testing) and qualitative insights (user research, interviews) to inform product strategy.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams to execute a shared vision.
Nice to Have
Experience owning software products that span multiple devices and platforms, understanding cross-device user needs.
Experience prototyping with code or designing mobile experiences in personal projects.
Understanding of dependencies between client-side and backend technologies and mobile connectivity constraints.
What Success Looks Like
Improve key mobile metrics including NPS, first-week success, and feature adoption.
Drive mobile-specific strategies that complement the desktop experience rather than simply achieving feature parity.
Deliver measurable improvements in quality, findability, and usefulness—our key drivers of user satisfaction.
Launch and scale new mobile-first features that contribute to business growth.
Build strong, collaborative partnerships across product, design, and engineering to execute the mobile vision.

For Washington-based roles, base salary range is $184,000 to $253,000. For California-based roles, base salary range is $200,800 to $276,100.
