Overview CPA Required . This position is located in Dothan, Alabama.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8a-5:30p; Fridays 8a-12p.

Responsibilities

Provides plans, systems and services to SpectraCare Health System in matters of economics, finance, accounting, contracts, grants applications and administration, purchasing and similar activities. Directs and monitors business operations of the System in a variety of locations and services in catchment area. Furnishes major financial advice and recommendations to the Chief Executive Officer, Board of Directors and System managerial staff. Travel is required within and beyond the catchment area.

Provides financial supervision for the System

Establishes procedures and directs accounting upkeep of the System’s general ledger and reports submitted to System managerial staff, Board of Directors and State and Federal regulatory and governing authorities.

Establishes procedures to ensure System program and unit conformance to budgetary limits.

Directs activities and takes action to assure fiscal compliance with rules and regulations governing all system contracts.

Assists in inspections and audits and responds to recommendations resulting from periodic reviews conducted by the general annual fiscal audit, State Department of Mental Health and other governmental agencies.

Manages the operation of the Business office of SpectraCare Health System

Works with Executive Staff members to ensure quality of care of consumers and to ensure compliance with policies and procedures as it relates to each division of SpectraCare.

Assists in preparation of the System’s annual budget and assists the Chief Executive Officer in submitting the budget to the Board of Directors. Prepares financial plans and budget projections and cash flow projections, discussing these periodically with System management, Chief Executive Officer and Board Committees.

Assists in preparation of program budgets and financial plans for all grant proposals and applications submitted by the system.

Regular attendance with timely arrival and departure according to scheduled hours

Performs other duties and/or functions as assigned by CEO

Position Requirements

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field

CPA certificate and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in health care

Minimum three years management/supervisory experience required

Possess a valid Driver License with good MVR

Must pass pre-employment screenings to include but not limited to background, drug screen, etc.

Must meet insurability requirements to drive a system vehicle (21 years of age)

Preferred Qualifications

Four (4) or more years in the mental health service industry

Five years management/supervisory experience preferred
