Intralox, the leading conveyance solutions provider, is currently seeking a qualified and talented individual for an Automations Controls Engineering position to work on complex and game-changing problems. This role is based out of our office in Hanover, MD in the Greater Baltimore/Washington DC area.

Key Responsibilities
Own the electrical controls portion of Intralox solutions from concept engineering through customer implementation.
Design control systems in support of conveying applications where specific features of conveyor equipment are enhanced (enabled) by electronic controls.
Independently write, implement, document and debug software for controls systems including field devices such as photoeyes, shaft encoders, barcode scanners, solenoids, scales, etc.
Independently design in CAD electrical control panel layouts, bills of materials and schematics.
Execute budgeting, estimating and pricing of control systems per project or proposal scope.
Manage procurement of electrical and control components for control systems.
Oversee value engineering of design, components and materials.
Manage and direct on-site (in-plant) installation and commissioning of control systems in conjunction with equipment installations or leads project commissioning and troubleshooting of field installations.
Create documentation and training materials for all potential users including but not limited to Intralox engineers, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Provide remote and on-site (in-plant) troubleshooting of control systems.
Complete assigned projects to quality standards, on time, and within budget.
Interface with a global team of like-minded professionals.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other related field.
Minimum 3 years' software programming experience in industrial automation.
Knowledge and experience with Rockwell Controls or Siemens or Beckhoff or other Controls Platform and comfortable in ladder logic and structured text.
Proficient in configuring PLCs, HMIs, computers, networks, cameras and variable frequency drives used to control sorters, conveyors, and related equipment.
Experience in AutoCAD Electrical for control circuit development or similar.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Mastery of English language.
Willingness and ability to train Equipment builders across the world.
Work in a team environment; acceptance of established standards.
Understanding of mechanical systems; willingness to work with hand tools.
Ability and willingness to travel (domestic and international) and perform field service (10-30%), work weekends/holidays/overtime when required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with BECKHOFF Controls Platform and TwinCAT programming.
Experience with MATLAB programming.
Experience with Industrial Machine Vision tools and programming.
Salary and Benefits The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary range: $68,000 to $187,600. The position is eligible for one of the following: commissions, discretionary incentives, or production incentives according to plan terms. Intralox’s benefit program includes health, dental, vision, disability insurance, paid time off, 401K, flexible spending accounts, life and AD&D insurance, long-term care, tuition reimbursement, and additional voluntary benefits.
