We are seeking an experienced
Safety Manager
to join our team in
Washington D.C. . This role requires a professional with proven experience working directly with a
general contractor on new construction projects . The Safety Manager will be responsible for implementing and overseeing safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, and fostering a safe work environment on-site. Key Responsibilities
Manage and enforce site-specific safety programs in alignment with company and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify risks and corrective actions. Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for employees and subcontractors. Investigate incidents and near misses, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions. Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, and general contractors to maintain a strong safety culture. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards. Qualifications
Minimum
3 years of direct Safety Manager experience
on construction projects. OSHA 30-Hour Certification
(required). EM385-1-1 40 Hour
