Overview
The Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of California, San Francisco is recruiting a full or part-time Endocrinologist as a clinician-educator at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) and Trauma Center at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The primary responsibility will be patient care and teaching. We are seeking applicants with creativity, determination, good people skills, strong educational skills and a desire to serve the safety net population.
Responsibilities
Outpatient clinical effort in general endocrinology (including thyroid fine-needle aspiration) and diabetes.
Inpatient consult attending.
Education and training of endocrinology fellows, medicine residents and medical students.
Secondary responsibilities and percent effort are flexible and guided by applicant interest.
Over time, develop a focused area of clinical expertise and creative efforts (e.g., research, quality improvement, teaching) based on interests and skills.
Qualifications
MD (or equivalent) with license (or eligible to obtain license) to practice medicine in California.
Board Certified (or eligible) in Endocrinology or Metabolism.
Position details ZSFG opened a new hospital in 2016 and offers compassionate and culturally competent care to a diverse community of patients in more than 20 languages. ZSFG is part of a city-wide integrated health care system, providing primary, specialty and hospital care for populations prioritized by the City and County of San Francisco. UCSF seeks candidates whose experience, teaching, research, and service have prepared them to provide excellence in that sphere.
Salary: The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. The minimum base salary range for this position is
$131,200-$344,400 . This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
