Summary: MD Plastic Surgery to support the breast surgery program (breast reconstruction) and other cancer and trauma reconstructive surgeries including children and adults with cleft lips and palates as well as craniosynostosis, complex reconstructions of the face, resulting from congenital, post-traumatic, or cancer deformities. Physician follows standards of practice to provide direct quality care to patients. Assures that the patients needs are met and provides open communication with patients, families and other physicians. Makes all professional medical judgments in the care of patients seen. Manages the physician/patient relationship. Participates in systemwide health management initiatives. Provides input into the practice site's financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues. Assists in the development and implementation of clinical and service standards. Receives and resolves patient complaints. Participates in the recruitment and replacement of other providers. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-services, and workshops. On-call coverage as requested. Performs other functions as required. Other information
D.O./M.D. in Plastic Surgery. New Mexico License required. Residency followed by 3 year Plastic Surgery fellowship. Board certified or Board eligible. Benefits
