Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Telemetry RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Seattle, Washington. One year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC) Current ACLS Certification Preferred Qualifications
Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification NIHSS certification Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Summary
The Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care in a telemetry unit, focusing on continuous cardiac monitoring and assessment. The role includes evaluating patient health, implementing treatment plans, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with cardiac conditions. Essential Work Functions
Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other telemetry data; responds to abnormalities Administers prescribed medications and treatments for cardiac care Prepares equipment and aids physicians during cardiac-related procedures Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients Observes patient status, documents conditions, and notifies supervisor or physician as needed Responds to life-saving situations per nursing standards and cardiac protocols Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and risk factors Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care Maintains confidentiality of patients and client information Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice Adheres to hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; proficient in PC skills Physical ability to remain stationary and move equipment (50-100 lbs) as needed Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of personnel Technical/motor skills for procedures and equipment Mental flexibility to work under deadlines and varying schedules Visual acuity and effective communication skills Benefits Include
