As part of our Marketing Analytics & Insights team, the Data Strategy Principal Manager will serve as a key enabler of data-driven decision-making across global marketing teams.

You'll be responsible for designing and developing robust data strategies that power performance insights, campaign optimization, and commercial effectiveness. This role bridges the gap between raw data and business impact by building high-quality, scalable data models and pipelines for use across Boston Scientific's enterprise marketing ecosystem.

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include

Corporate Data Strategy: Lead the development and execution of Corporate Data Strategy, optimizing efficiency, data quality, and competitive advantage.

SME on marketing, digital and customer data infrastructure; guide data sources to onboard for marketing activation.

Champion a first-party data strategy, enabling personalized customer communications and scalable audience-building processes.

Design workflows for activating customer segments in downstream channels, focusing on automation and scalability.

Evaluate new data sources, enrichment partners, and technologies to strengthen the marketing data ecosystem.

Planning & Prioritization: Align funding and resources for data initiatives, prioritizing investments based on ROI, scalability, and strategic impact.

Maintain and communicate a marketing data roadmap aligned with enterprise-wide goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with IT, Analytics, Marketing, Business Units, and Leadership to deliver an integrated customer experience.

Translate business needs into structured data requirements and governance standards.

Manage multiple cross-functional projects while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely delivery.

Technology Integration: Define business requirements for innovative data and marketing technology solutions; partner with technical teams to ensure marketing needs are understood and delivered; advocate for scalable architectures balancing foundational work with innovation.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Use analytics and stakeholder feedback to inform strategy and enhance customer experiences; establish and report on KPIs to measure adoption and success of data initiatives; ensure marketing teams have access to trusted data for confident decision-making.

Leadership & Enablement: Deliver value stories and training that promote data-driven, customer-centric marketing; present strategy and progress to senior leadership; foster continuous improvement and cross-team collaboration.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Marketing, Business, or related field; Master's preferred.

A minimum of 7 years of experience in data strategy, analytics, marketing operations, or related functions.

Proven ability to translate business questions into technical requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

Strong understanding of marketing data ecosystems (CRM, campaign, digital, customer, and third-party data).

Experience with data governance, compliance, and privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA). Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of working across diverse teams.

Comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels—setting vision and executing details.

Ability to lead through influence, align multiple stakeholders to a common vision; process improvement experience.

Maximum Salary: 197,000

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific will vary based on actual location and other pertinent factors. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. At BSC, it is not typical to hire near the bottom or top of the salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may include variable compensation (e.g., overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility). Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may include variable compensation such as annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility).
