Overview
Under the direction of the Executive Director of Analytics & Optimization, the Director of Continuous Improvement is responsible for leading, developing, and managing a team focused on driving operational excellence across non-gaming areas of the property, including Food & Beverage, Hotel, Security, Engineering, Environmental Services, etc. As a strategic partner and true change agent, this individual will lead high-impact initiatives aimed at streamlining processes, improving service delivery, and enhancing the overall guest and employee experience. The role requires close collaboration with property leadership to co-create strategic visions and implement holistic, systems-based solutions that cut across functional areas. This position demands a hands-on leader capable of conducting deep-dive analysis, time and motion studies, and systems-level process evaluations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to embed themselves into day-to-day operations to understand business needs and challenges. A bachelor degree in business, management, data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, or a related field is required. This position is located on the Mashantucket Pequot reservation and will be filled in accordance with Tribal law. This is an on-site position. Responsibilities
Lead a team focused on driving operational excellence across non-gaming departments (Food & Beverage, Hotel, Security, Engineering, Environmental Services, etc.). Act as a strategic partner and change agent to implement high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that streamline processes, improve service delivery, and enhance guest and employee experiences. Collaborate with property leadership to co-create strategic visions and implement holistic, systems-based solutions that span multiple functional areas. Conduct deep-dive analysis, time and motion studies, and systems-level process evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement. Apply continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, TQM) and lead change management efforts to sustain improvements across departments. Own the full analytics lifecycle: data sourcing, cleansing, analysis, visualization, and presenting actionable insights to stakeholders. Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for operators. Build and maintain strong partnerships with cross-functional teams (Operations, MIS, Analytics) to ensure data integrity and support optimization initiatives. Qualifications
Bachelor degree in business, management, data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, or related field. At least five (5) years of relevant experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, FP&A, or analytics; preferably within hospitality, leisure, or gaming. At least three (3) years in a management role. Prior experience in a resort casino environment is required. Proficiency with analytical tools such as SAS, R, Python, SQL, and business intelligence platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or SAS Visual Analytics. Ability to manage multiple priorities, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and deliver results under tight timelines. On-site availability and willingness to work at the Mashantucket Pequot reservation location.
