Job Summary Oversees athletic facilities and game operations for the Athletic department.

Coordinates the hiring and training of game-day personnel. Manages the hours worked by internal and external game operations staff.

Creates and maintains the operations manual for game operations. Interprets and advises coaches and staff members on policies and procedures that pertain to game operations.

Ensures a positive experience at athletics events. Serves as point of contact for facilities management, external relations, law enforcement, and concessions. Makes personnel and fiscal recommendations to the Associate Athletics Director.

Assists in the development of policies and procedures as it relates to FIU athletic contests, FIU athletic venues, FIU Athletics external events and equipment room operations.

Solicits, rents, and operates athletic facility venues for external events as a revenue generating method for the FIU Athletic Department.

Assists with the physical set-up of equipment at events. Schedules, hires, and trains event staff and Federal Work Students (internal and external).

Serves as the point of contact person for facilitating outsourced services during events (e.g. concessions, box office, parking, custodial) and as a game management administrator at designated athletic events.

Coordinates with area managers within the Athletics Department and designated liaisons from other University units to maintain and efficiently execute standard operating procedures for all operating functions of the stadium and all athletics facilities. Prepares and follows up on work orders to ensure the routing maintenance and cleaning operations of the stadium and all athletics facilities.

Provides assistance in the preparation of the facilities' annual budget. Provides technical and financial reports of stadium and all athletics facilities for review.

Adheres to all State of Florida, University, NCAA, Conference USA, and department rules and policies pertaining to the position of Director of Facilities & Game Operations. Reports any known NCAA violations or concerns to the Director of Athletic Compliance and be responsible for the monitoring of any subordinate as it relates to NCAA regulations.

Performs related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Oversees credentialing for all events and functions for the department.

Serve as a conference championship liaison.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an appropriate specialization and four (4) years of experience; OR Master's degree in an appropriate specialization and two (2) years of experience; OR eight (8) years of experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Desired Qualifications Experience at the Division I college level a plus.
