Hedge Fund - Head of Structured Credit - NYC
Credit Fund in NYC is seeking a dynamic Head of Structured Credit to lead its structured products investment platform, with a primary focus on Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) and adjacent credit strategies. This senior leader will be responsible for shaping and executing the firm’s structured credit strategy, managing investment portfolios, and leading a high-performing team.
This is a unique opportunity to join a well-capitalized and growing platform, working directly with the CIO and senior leadership to expand the fund’s structured credit franchise.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the firm’s structured credit strategy, with emphasis on CLOs (equity, mezzanine, and senior tranches).
Oversee portfolio management, including performance evaluation, risk management, and investment execution.
Drive sourcing, structuring, and execution of new CLO transactions and related opportunities.
Manage and mentor a team of analysts and associates, fostering professional development and analytical excellence.
Maintain strong relationships with counterparties, arrangers, and external managers to enhance deal flow.
Prepare and present investment insights, portfolio updates, and market commentary to internal committees and institutional investors.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in structured credit, with a proven track record in CLO investing, portfolio management, and/or trading.
Direct trading experience in CLOs as well as leveraged loans and other structured credit instruments being strongly preferred.
Strong expertise in financial modeling and structured product analytics; e.g. Intex
Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience managing and developing investment teams.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field required; advanced degree or CFA strongly preferred.
