Salesforce . Summary: The Services Operations Systems & Tools Team is seeking an experienced Technical Architect to support the evolving systems and tools landscape for the Public Sector. This role designs and leads the delivery of complex, scalable Salesforce solutions that enhance internal operations. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Salesforce administration, configuration, and customization, with experience across Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, APIs, mobile development, AI, and integration/ETL technologies. You will work on large, technical projects and support both standard and custom-built tools. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, define future-state processes, develop and validate technical use cases, gather requirements, and deliver system enhancements. You will configure, prototype, and test new features while ensuring seamless integration with external systems. A strong ability to design scalable systems, think strategically, and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams is essential. Responsibilities

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand strategic objectives, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. Lead technical design sessions, architect and document Salesforce solutions, and identify gaps between current capabilities and desired end states. Design, develop, customize, and maintain Salesforce applications, including custom development, system integrations, and data migrations. Integrate Salesforce with third-party platforms and external data sources using APIs and middleware as needed. Establish and uphold coding standards; conduct and lead code reviews to ensure best practices and high-quality designs. Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct thorough testing and debugging of Salesforce applications. Design and implement process automation using Salesforce tools (Flow, Process Builder, and Workflow Rules) to drive efficiency. Support deployment of Salesforce releases and environment updates with minimal business disruption. Lead DevOps activities including environment management, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and automated deployments for secure deployments across environments. Mentor Salesforce developers with technical leadership, code reviews, and feedback to ensure quality and adherence to best practices. Stay up to date with Salesforce updates and industry trends to drive continuous improvement. Communicate progress and risks effectively with global teams; collaborate with SMEs, Business Architects, and Product Owners to define requirements and enable testing materials. Act as a liaison with Salesforce product teams to support solution delivery and platform enhancements. Required Experience / Expertise / Skills

Over 10 years of experience in CRM solutions, with at least 6 years on the Salesforce platform. Proven experience designing and developing large-scale web-based systems with full SDLC exposure. Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture to design scalable, high-performance solutions. Proficient in design patterns, handling large data volumes, and applying platform best practices. Strong knowledge of data sharing and visibility models within Salesforce. Hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning, Apex, and Visualforce. Familiar with Salesforce Einstein Analytics and AI features. Experience with Salesforce integration using REST/SOAP APIs and third-party tools. Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (required); Platform Developer II or Salesforce Administrator are desirable. Proficient in Git and CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce. Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and the Salesforce product suite. Attention to detail and commitment to quality; proactive in learning new technologies and processes. Experience in environment and release management, source control strategies, and deployment best practices. Adept at working in Agile environments and cross-functional teams. Desired Experience / Expertise / Skills

Salesforce Certified Administrator and Advanced Administrator with hands-on product experience. Familiarity with CRM data management and Certinia PSA/financial tools. Experience in customer-facing consulting delivering tailored Salesforce solutions. Background in Sales Operations and/or Professional Services with understanding of operational workflows. Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), CPQ, and systems integration. Ability to develop documentation including use cases, user stories, and both business and technical requirements. Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prototype solutions, test, and support adoption.
