Overview
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Oakland, CA. The role is to perform Disability Assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA disability benefits process. The provider does not treat or prescribe; VA makes disability determinations. Responsibilities
Review medical records electronically through a web portal. Perform a focused, in-person physical exam on each Veteran. Electronically document exam findings required by the VA through the web portal. Conduct Disability Assessments only; you will not make disability determinations. Assess 3-5 Veterans per day. Requirements
Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license. NCCPA accreditation for PA; preferred for NP as applicable. Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate electronic health records. Ability to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete the questionnaire and form medical opinions. Schedule & Location
Full-time, Monday–Friday (8:00 am–5:00 pm). This is an in-person position. Benefits
