Overview
Director of Integrated Pharmacy Services at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston, TX. This role provides oversight for pharmacy services that support patient care across the organization, including in-clinic/ambulatory pharmacy services, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) pharmacy consultative oversight, medication procurement, and contract negotiations/management. Collaborates with Infusion Pharmacy, Consumer Pharmacy, and Specialty Pharmacy services to optimize clinic performance. Manages pharmacy-related technologies and participates in contract analysis and negotiation to advance the triple aim of quality, patient satisfaction, and cost reduction.
Responsibilities
Oversee performance and development of pharmacy services supporting patient care lines within the ACO.
Provide oversight of in-clinic/ambulatory pharmacy services, ASC pharmacy consultative services, medication procurement, and contract management.
Lead financial, clinical, and regulatory management of the pharmacies under purview.
Collaborate with the Kelsey Pharmacy Services team to optimize clinic performance with Infusion, Consumer, and Specialty Pharmacy services.
Manage all pharmacy-related technologies (e.g., automated dispensing cabinets, inventory systems, ERP, POS, contract management, and other evolving technologies).
Contribute to pharmaceutical and medical supply contract analysis and negotiation to support organizational goals.
Provide pharmacy law and regulatory expertise to ensure compliance with organizational needs.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
BS in Pharmacy
Active Pharmacist license in Texas, or eligibility to obtain licensure within 90 days of hire
8+ years of progressive management experience in hospital, ambulatory, GPO, and/or clinical settings, including strategic planning, budget development/monitoring, and personnel management
Experience with AAAHC or Texas Department of Health (TDH) surveys
Solid knowledge of current trends in pharmacy and the ability to leverage expertise to improve quality, safety, patient experience, and financial performance
Strong knowledge of Texas State Board of Pharmacy and DEA regulatory standards
Proven ability to lead Performance Improvement teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science (MS) in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
Experience in Accountable Care Organization (ACO) integrated pharmacy models
Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) consulting experience
Understanding of current trends in pharmaceutical contracting with value-based care focus
Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record systems
Infusion and Specialty Pharmacy contracting expertise
Proven ability to present to C-suite leadership
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
Compensation and Benefits Compensation is based on factors including market conditions, location, education, experience, and certifications. In addition to salary, a comprehensive benefits package is offered, including incentive programs, an equity stock purchase plan, and 401(k) contributions (subject to eligibility). The salary range for this role is $132,200 to $226,600 annually for full-time employment. We comply with all applicable minimum wage laws and regulations.
