The base pay for this position is $99,000 - 110,000 per year. The base salary offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Castlegate Forwarding is looking for a dynamic leader to help us continue to evolve and improve our Drayage operations as our growing business continues to scale in volume and complexity! CastleGate Forwarding (CGF) is an exciting, fast-growing digital freight forwarder within Wayfair, moving containers globally to Wayfair’s shelves and beyond. As the 7th largest home importer in the US, we offer a full suite of shipping services—including Asia consolidation, ocean freight, haulage, customs brokerage, and cargo insurance—providing Wayfair suppliers with competitive and efficient logistics solutions. Our proprietary end-to-end logistics network enhances speed, quality, and cost efficiency. As the Manager of Carrier & Profit Management within Destination Operations you will lead the team responsible for the overall management of our Drayage Carrier network and the monitoring of our Drayage P&L. This is a highly impactful role that directly supports both our ambitious growth and profitability aspirations! What you will do: Build an industry leading drayage carrier network as the owner of the procurement process , define carrier strategies, execute annual RFPs, negotiate rates, develop long-term trusted relationships with a focus on staying ahead of market trends, driving continuous improvements and providing innovative logistics solutions Drive consistently high service levels with rigorous data driven performance management

and accountability from our Carrier network via regular and ad-hoc structures (e.g., Weekly and Quarterly Business Reviews, Escalations, Feedback Mechanisms, etc) Ensure our P&L goals are achieved through tight collaboration

across Sales, Pricing, Finance, and Operations, monitor our P&L through dynamic visibility tools, escalate and resolve challenges impacting the P&L What you’ll need: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in strategic relationship management within logistics, consulting, or carrier operations Demonstrable experience in logistics, supply chain, procurement, or operations management, with a track record of driving results Knowledge of freight forwarding and or drayage is a significant advantage for this role Experience managing, developing and coaching a high performing team Strong negotiation and vendor performance management skills, with expertise in contract negotiations, rate benchmarking, and business reviews (RFP execution is a plus) Proven analytical and data-driven skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a structured approach to tackling operational challenges Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and collaborate across all levels of an organization and with both internal and external stakeholders An Important Note about Wayfair's In-Office Policy: All Boston-based interns, Co-ops, and corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on designated days, Monday - Thursday, and work remotely Friday.
