Adobe Product Owner

to partner with the Marketing & Communications team to develop and support Adobe technologies and related applications, legacy systems, databases, and web interfaces to meet the needs across AARP Foundation. This position is focused on Marketing and Communications technology but is responsible for strategy and associated outcomes to clients, end-users, and within the enterprise and will be expected to deliver incremental business value in an agile environment. The Business Technology Manager works alongside a team of technical and solution architects/engineers, delivery leads, and vendors in application implementation and development projects. The Business Technology Manager orchestrates across various stakeholders to define shared priorities, manages a full technology lifecycle that balances short-term achievements with long-term goals, and works to build a sense of partnership across AARP Foundation while staying connected to extended team members across the AARP enterprise.

Responsibilities

Manages technology projects and cross-functional teams to determine resources needed and responsibly stewards them, tracks progress against established timelines, evaluates training, and monitors adoption. Collaborates across teams during the discovery phase to assess value, usability, and feasibility of enhancement concept and experience.

Provides strategic guidance on the department's technology roadmap and manages the process of designing and implementing improvements and new functionality in technology applications. Creates product strategies and roadmaps based on a deep understanding of the product technology stack, department goals and consumer needs. Leads technical engagements utilizing an agile planning and development methodology.

Acts as a business liaison with technology and vendors and provides end-user training and support. Provides counsel to other business units in the execution of technology initiatives and digital engagement. Collaborates with management and IT to identify opportunities to streamline technology processes that support the business unit. Engages with internal and external vendor teams to establish priorities, manage work requests, and ensure on-time delivery of enhancements.

Gathers an in-depth understanding of the organization's technical landscape, data management practices, workflows, and data available across the organization. Advises on data accuracy and integration best practices, as needed.

Defines and translates strategic business ideas into technical product implementations utilizing actionable, digestible user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring all organizational, regulatory, and strategic compliance requirements and objectives are met.

Utilizes technology to advance AARP and consumer priorities. Serves as a resource within their business unit on appropriate tools/software and shares expertise openly and accessibly to advance business unit priorities and projects and to meet critical goals.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Technology Manager, or Administrator for Marketing Communications, Digital Experience, and/or Customer Experience platforms.

3+ years of experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Analytics, Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), and/or Customer Journey Analytics (CJA).

Preferred:

Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), IC Agile Product Owner, Agile Certified Product Manager Product Owner (ACPMPO).

In addition to required Adobe experience, experience working with other Content Management Systems, web/mobile analytics, messaging, tag management, asset management, event platforms, customer experience/survey platforms include Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Qualtrics, is preferred.

Hybrid Work Environment AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as remote workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work can only be done within the United States and its territories.
