The role focuses on activation and growth within YouTube recommendations, leveraging machine learning and data-driven approaches to enhance user engagement and discovery. Responsibilities
Lead our Activation initiative, a key effort to help users form various lasting interests on YouTube. Drive the understanding of user visits by partnering with Data Scientists to identify and execute high-leverage opportunities for daily engagement. Collaborate across YouTube to define and execute the overall growth strategy, identifying new opportunities to maintain growth. Analyze YouTube growth trends with Data Science to diagnose emerging viewer behaviors and translate insights into actionable opportunities. Develop AI/ML models that use deep content understanding to spark new interests and encourage re-engagement with novel topics and creators. Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role. 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc). 2 years of experience working with Machine learning or AI systems. Preferred qualifications
2 years of experience in data science or engineering. Experience in growth focused efforts and teams . Experience with previous recommendation systems. Understanding of core software engineering concepts and principles. About the job
