Agile Defense is currently seeking a talented Cloud Security Architect to support their quickly changing cloud environment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, and detail oriented with a passion for Cybersecurity and will have expertise in securing varying cloud environments including AWS, Azure, Hybrid and Multi-tenant architectures. The Cloud Security Architect will join a team of cross-functional cybersecurity experts supporting a spectrum of cybersecurity disciplines like network engineering, security operations center, and policy and compliance in support of a government agency's Cybersecurity Program. To support this vital mission, you are on the forefront of providing Advanced CND Operations, and Security Engineering support to include the development of advanced analytics and countermeasures to protect critical assets from hostile adversaries. We are seeking candidates with diverse backgrounds in security engineering and systems administration. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of complexities related to cloud security, Operations and Maintenance (O&M), cloud brokering, and cloud infrastructure implementation. Active DoD - Public Trust Candidate must successfully receive a Public Trust clearance. Onsite support is required in Washington, DC. 5x per week Responsibilities

Serves as subject matter expert, possessing in-depth knowledge of a particular area, such as information security, cloud security, systems engineering, big data, network security, data loss prevention or the various sciences related to enterprise technology. Experience working with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services with hands-on technical familiarity with their interfaces. Provides technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environments, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, security, implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. Participates as needed in all phases of system and software development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, security, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases. Applies principles, methods, and knowledge of the functional area of capability to specific task order requirements, advanced software, systems and security principles and methods to exceptionally difficult and narrowly defined technical problems in engineering and other scientific applications to arrive at automated solutions. Improving an agency's overall security posture and efficiently improving mission capabilities while reducing operational costs with the adoption of cloud computing technologies will be actualized by improving processes and procedures and by establishing a flexible, scalable, and secure cloud security strategy. Perform assessments of cloud-based systems in support of the ATO process. Perform independent assessments of cloud computing services to determine compliance with federal security requirements established under FedRAMP. Security assessments using FedRAMP test case templates for cloud computing services. Automated vulnerability scans of operating systems, databases, and web interfaces. Role-based security functional testing. Support cloud computing initiatives by providing program and project oversight, policy and requirements development, and strategic orchestration of migration and implementation of CSO. The Contractor shall actively participate in discussions to coordinate and align mission/business objectives and cloud technological capabilities to allow continued technology modernization. Serve as the SME providing support to all stakeholders in the CSP on-boarding process to ensure that initial authorization decisions internal to agency and ongoing continuous monitoring requirements are satisfied adequately ensuring that agency can make informed risk-based decisions about ongoing authorization of the CSO and obtain assurance regarding the security posture of the CSO. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required (Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent). Relevant cloud security certification (AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate/Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CCSP, etc.). Skills & Certifications

Understand both Azure and AWS environments. Can work with the A&A team to understand cloud system boundaries and architecture. Able to articulate complex cloud system nuisances to an audience of varying technical skill levels. Able to review architecture changes (hardware, software, firmware, etc.) and determine their impacts on the cloud environment. Working Conditions

Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support data updates. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The onsite working environment is generally favorable.
