This role is field-based and candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, drive sales performance, effectively manage the assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships and customer needs solving capability to maximize short and long-term sales performance, placing the patient at the center of any efforts and operating within AbbVie\'s business code of conduct, policies and all applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities
Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives, etc. to meet or exceed these objectives. Create pre-call plan objectives and execute post-call evaluation to continuously improve sales performance. Effectively handle objections, misunderstandings, concerns and consistently gain logical and reasonable calls to action to close on every sales call. Proactively and continuously serve customer needs, expectations and challenges to build trusted customer relationships and achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers. Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities. Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise and share market intelligence with in-field team, brand team and sales manager to achieve alignment and optimize brand strategy. Differentiate AbbVie\'s value proposition with health providers and identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant equivalent industry experience required. Relevant experience in lieu of a degree: at least five (5) years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry, with three (3) or more years preferred; high school diploma/GED required. Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and use of business tools; strategic and critical thinking capabilities. Proactively identifies customer style/behavior and adapts selling approach; develops sales strategies from findings. Proven track record of success in selling with solid presentation skills; able to operate in a matrix environment; offers innovative ideas to maximize opportunities. Influences others; credible and respected resource among peers; builds collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix team. Leads by example; positive behaviors and coaching in changing environments; documented leadership experience at district/region levels. Valid driver\'s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements. Ability to travel adequately to cover territory, including overnight training events and sales meetings. Driving a personal auto or company car or truck; or other applicable equipment as needed. Preferred: proven sales success in the respective therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed care or marketing; English language proficiency. Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities in the assigned territory; in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials. Note: HCIR requirements may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and licenses; you are responsible for satisfying all requirements.
