Overview

Specialty Representative, Psychiatry - Richmond, KY. This field-based role supports AbbVie by executing brand strategy and driving sales performance within an assigned territory, placing the patient at the center of efforts and operating within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies and all applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities

Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed targets. Create pre-call plan objectives and perform post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance. Handle objections and questions to close on sales calls. Proactively address customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers. Develop and execute a call plan that meets call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities. Gather market intelligence on customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, products, and sales insights; share with in-field team, brand team, and sales management to align and optimize strategy. Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and identify disease state experts and speakers to maximize brand performance. Drive personal auto use or company vehicle, or operate equipment as needed for field duties. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred; equivalent industry experience may be considered. If no bachelor’s degree, at least five years of experience in pharmaceutical/health/science industry with three or more years in relevant roles; high school diploma/GED required. In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools; strategic and critical thinking capabilities. Ability to adapt selling approaches to customer style/behavior; develops sales strategies and offers innovative solutions to maximize opportunities. Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment; demonstrates leadership and collaboration with district colleagues and matrix teams. Preferred: track record of sales success in respective therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing; English proficiency (verbal and written). Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain access to facilities in the assigned territory; compliant with background checks, immunizations, fingerprinting, and licenses as applicable. Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements. Additional Information

Base pay range: $78,500.00/yr - $192,500.00/yr. Compensation is based on skills and experience and may be adjusted by the recruiter.
