Responsibilities

Human Centered : Deeply immerse yourself in understanding internal and/or external customer needs to reimagine and innovate product solutions. Discover customer needs and inspire innovative solutions or products in light of industry trends, emerging technologies and business and customer insights.

Business Focused : Develop a compelling portfolio or product vision to deliver capabilities that empower differentiated customer experiences and deliver breakthrough business value. Translate vision into strategic product roadmaps with an agile delivery approach in partnership with Tech while managing cyber, operational and/or regulatory risks.

Technology Driven : Partner with Technology leaders to influence end-state architecture and drive secure, resilient, performant and scalable technology solutions that solve material customer and business problems. Make technology investment decisions by assessing opportunities to reuse Enterprise solutions or build new ones with extensibility and enterprise scalability in mind.

Integrated Problem Solving : Develop and champion a bold vision that drives meaningful outcomes and embrace the art of the possible. Build frameworks for complex decision making that enable effective debate and accelerate reaching the right answer.

Transformational Leadership : Influence a broad set of senior executives and stakeholders to successfully deliver on the portfolio/product vision. Establish a long-term product portfolio strategy, secure resources, overcome impediments, and attract, grow, empower, and inspire top product talent.

As part of the HR Talent and Performance Management Product team

Lead development of a proprietary talent and performance management platform for the Capital One enterprise, shaping a multi-year vision and roadmap based on customer-backed and data-driven insights.

Shape strategy for talent and management experience to deliver a best-in-class experience for business partners, people leaders, associates, and HRBPs.

Lead teams of world-class product managers who set high standards across product strategy, roadmap development, design, documentation, testing, and monitoring.

Partner with stakeholders across business, technology, design, and the enterprise to meet customer needs while balancing tradeoffs and risks.

Collaborate with peers leading data and platform initiatives to drive knowledge sharing and feedback loops to foster innovation and minimize unnecessary uniqueness.

Basic Qualifications

At least 9 years of experience working in Product Management.

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, one of the following with an expectation that the degree will be obtained on or before the start date:

A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or related quantitative field)

A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Preferred Qualifications

Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products.

5+ years of experience in Agile product management.

5+ years of experience in HR and talent data or platforms.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on hours worked. Location-specific ranges are:

McLean, VA: $264,300 - $301,700 for Sr. Dir, Product Management

Plano, TX: $240,300 - $274,300 for Sr. Dir, Product Management

Richmond, VA: $240,300 - $274,300 for Sr. Dir, Product Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range for that location, and the actual salary offered will be reflected in the offer letter. This role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
