Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Contracts Manager with experience in U.S. Government contracting to oversee contract administration and compliance across the full contract lifecycle. The Contracts Manager will advise leadership and programming teams, ensuring compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other applicable regulations. This role supports business development, proposal preparation, negotiations, and contract execution while safeguarding the company’s contractual and financial interests.
Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including pre-award, award, modifications, execution, compliance, and closeout.
Prepare and maintain accurate contractual documentation, including modifications, correspondence, and compliance reports.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, and teaming agreements.
Review and interpret complex solicitations, RFPs, and Statements of Work (SOWs) to identify risks and ensure alignment with corporate policies.
Support proposal development, including reviewing terms and conditions, developing pricing strategies, assisting with cost/price proposals, and submission of proposals.
Serve as the primary point of contact for Government Contracting Officers (COs), Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs), and prime/subcontractor partners.
Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, agency supplements, ITAR, and other applicable statutes and regulations.
Provide contractual guidance to program management, business development, procurement, and finance teams.
Monitor contract performance to ensure deliverables, schedules, and reporting requirements are met.
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks while supporting resolution of disputes and claims.
Participate in audits, data calls, and compliance reviews as required by federal agencies.
Train internal stakeholders on contract compliance requirements and best practices.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Government Contracting, Legal Studies, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
5+ years of experience in federal contract management or administration, preferably in a DoD, DHS, or federal agency contracting environment.
Required Skills
Ability to work independently while managing multiple contracts and priorities.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Demonstrated experience negotiating with government agencies and commercial entities (as prime and subcontractors).
Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and government contracting principles.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related tools.
Desired Skills
NCMA Certification (CPCM, CFCM, or CCCM).
Experience with cost-reimbursable, fixed-price, time-and-materials, and IDIQ contract types.
Working knowledge of EVMS, compliance audits, and DCAA/DCMA requirements.
Experience with subcontract management and flow-down requirements.
