Qualification & Delivery team within Developer Engineering , will be responsible for strategizing, developing, and enhancing the tools and frameworks that ensure our software is delivered quickly, safely, and with the highest quality. Position summary You will work cross-functionally to guide complex developer platforms from conception to launch by connecting the product vision with the specific solutions needed to solve our most critical engineering challenges. You will break down complex problems in test frameworks automation, continuous deployment, and release management into actionable steps that drive product development, modernize our practices, and leapfrog the competition. You will partner with the platform, product, and application teams to reimagine GEICO’s software delivery lifecycle. You will be the product owner, responsible for defining and delivering end-to-end developer experience for testing and releases that is seamless across all our technology stacks. You’ll drive GEICO’s digital transformation by implementing cutting-edge technologies, fostering a culture of quality, and ensuring our developers have the best tools to do their best work. This role is ideal for a builder who thrives on finding product-market fit for internal developer tools and wants to make a measurable impact on engineering velocity and reliability. This position is a hybrid role based either out of the San Francisco Bay area or the Greater Washington DC Metropolitan (DMV) area. Responsibilities Building intelligent, AI-powered testing and release platforms that improve developer productivity and application quality at scale. Defining and executing a multi-year unified vision for Quality Engineering and Continuous Delivery in close partnership with our engineering and business teams. Leading cross-functional teams to drive results during product discovery and delivery for developer-facing products. Synthesizing developer feedback, telemetry data, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for improving test coverage, release velocity, and system reliability. Owning and prioritizing the product roadmap for our test automation frameworks, release orchestration tools, and quality analytics platforms. Partnering with developer advocates and engineering teams to ensure our tools offer a world-class developer experience. Defining and evangelizing advanced release strategies (e.g., canary, blue/green, progressive delivery) and building platforms to support them. Leveraging AI/ML to solve complex engineering problems, such as generating intelligent test cases, predicting release risk, and automatically identifying root causes of failures. Identifying and measuring KPIs related to testing & release automation that truly reflect development velocity and product quality, with an eye to adjusting the roadmap as the data dictates. Collaborating with other Product Managers and helping build a high-performing developer platform organization. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as software engineering or computer science. At least 5 years of experience in a technical product management role, in areas such as Developer Tools, Platform Engineering, SRE, or DevOps. Demonstrated experience defining strategy for test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, or observability platforms. Builder mindset with proven experience managing all aspects of building technical products throughout their lifecycle, from concept to delivery to scaling. Experience using quantitative and qualitative data (e.g., developer surveys, adoption metrics) to inform design decisions and drive change. Preferred Qualifications MBA or equivalent experience Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Jest), and observability platforms (e.g., Grafana, Splunk). Familiarity with leveraging AI/ML to solve engineering challenges, particularly in the testing and code quality domain. Self-starter with a proven ability to operate in an ambiguous, startup-like environment.
