Overview
We are partnering with a Private Equity–backed, field & industrial services company seeking a
Vice President of Operations
to lead and scale its multi-state operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive will oversee day-to-day service delivery across multiple geographies, driving excellence in safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction. The role will play a critical part in building the operating model of a growing platform business—managing large, distributed teams, improving efficiency, and supporting expansion into new service offerings and markets. Geography
Preference for candidates based in Florida or Georgia, with flexibility for the right leader in Texas who is willing to travel regularly across the Company’s footprint. Primary Responsibilities
Operational Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple states, including inspection, maintenance, and field service activities. Manage operations organizations in Florida, Georgia, and Louisiana, with potential to assume responsibility for Texas operations in the future. Team & Culture
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 50–100 employees, fostering accountability, safety, and customer-first values. Collaborate with peers across geographies to ensure consistency of processes and standards. Process & Performance
Drive efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives, including route density, technician productivity, and quality metrics. Develop and monitor KPIs, ensuring performance against clear financial and operational targets. Financial & Strategic Oversight
Manage $30–40M P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and capital vs. operating expenditure decisions. Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, including market expansion and new service line launches. Innovation & Compliance
Champion the use of technology to enhance operational visibility and service delivery. Ensure all operations comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Qualifications
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations for technical, field-service businesses (e.g., facilities management, infrastructure services, environmental services, outsourced utility services). Proven track record managing complex, multi-location operations and service lines. Experience in private equity–backed companies strongly preferred. Strong quantitative and analytical orientation, with a hands-on, pragmatic leadership style. Experience in water/wastewater or utility services is a plus, but not required. Seniority level
