Senior Manager Platform Engineer, Workday Do you love building and pioneering in the technology space? We are seeking Platform Engineers who are passionate about creating and supporting Workday tools with emerging technologies to join our team. As a Platform Engineer, youll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One. We are seeking Platform Engineers who are passionate about developing highly-resilient, fundamentally-sound objects to support the Human Resource technology driving Capital One. You will champion automation of functional and technical processes and bring your expertise to drive innovative solutions.
General Responsibilities
Understand and translate the priorities of the business while integrating HR value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business
Deliver solutions in Workday across HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll and Benefits through efficient and organized processes while maintaining high standards
Effectively communicate across team, Product Owner, stakeholders and influence solutions across business partners
Identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborate with HR partners to provide innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes that will optimize business results
Design and develop complex integrations within the Workday platform to support candidate and associate experience using web service technologies, SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML, XSLT
Provide technical expertise on Workday Studio technologies, security, troubleshooting system issues, data analysis, vendor management and coordination with other HR/Enterprise teams
Lead a team of integrators and configurators to support the Workday Recruiting module
Work with product owners to align on priorities and deliver on key objectives using Agile methodologies, while maintaining the highest platform and Enterprise standards
Design and develop automation workflows, perform unit tests and conduct code reviews for self and the team, to ensure work is rigorously designed, elegantly coded and effectively tuned for platform performance and quality
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
At least 8 years of experience designing and developing integration solutions in Workday using Core Connectors, Workday Studio, Custom Reports or RaaS solutions
At least 6 years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP
At least 4 years of experience in a technical leadership role overseeing strategic projects
At least 4 years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
7+ years of experience working with Workday Human Resources modules including HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting or Talent and Performance Management
7+ years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP
Workday Integration Developer certifications
Experience working in an agile delivery environment
Experience with building solutions on Workday Extend
Workday or Workday Pro certifications (HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking or Performance Management)

Cambridge, MA: $193,000 - $220,300 for Sr. Manager, Platform Engineering
Chicago, IL: $175,500 - $200,300 for Sr. Manager, Platform Engineering
McLean, VA: $193,000 - $220,300 for Sr. Manager, Platform Engineering
New York, NY: $210,500 - $240,300 for Sr. Manager, Platform Engineering
Plano, TX: $175,500 - $200,300 for Sr. Manager, Platform Engineering
Richmond, VA: $175,500 - $200,300 for Sr. Manager, Platform Engineering
San Francisco, CA: $210,500 - $240,300 for Sr. Manager, Platform Engineering
San Jose, CA: $210,500 - $240,300 for Sr. Manager, Platform Engineering
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered will be reflected solely in the offer letter.
This role is eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
