OKX is a leading crypto exchange and developer of OKX Wallet, enabling millions to access crypto trading and decentralized applications. The Supernova Program is a 3-year Career Accelerator focused on fast-tracking high-performing graduates into technical experts and future leaders in Product Engineering, Product Management, and Product Design. As a graduate Backend Software Engineer, you’ll develop cutting-edge technology across our platforms to facilitate seamless digital asset transactions for global customers. You will work cross-functionally with design, product, and other engineering teams to identify customer needs and ship high-quality features through fast iterations. This role provides an opportunity to learn the full life cycle of crypto platforms including pro/retail trading, asset management, and wallet. What You’ll Be Doing
Be part of the global engineering team to design and develop cutting-edge crypto-linked products on the platform. Deliver customized solutions with performance, scalability and CI in mind while maintaining overall architecture consistency. Build high availability, high performance distributed services. Optimize to maximize user satisfaction in time-critical scenarios. Partner with Design, Product, and Marketing to turn ideas into quality features that scale to millions of users. Communicate project deliverables effectively to peers, cross-functions, and leadership. Stay updated on industry trends and evaluate new solutions for growing business needs. Prototype ideas quickly using cutting-edge technologies. Maintain high-quality technical documentation. Uphold best practices and code reviews; improve cross-office collaboration. Ramp up with AI development tools and apply them to deliver features and improve efficiency (e.g., code copilots, prompt engineering, automation). What We Look For In You
Bachelors in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical disciplines, or self-taught enthusiasts. Relevant tech stack skills: Java/SpringBoot/SpringCloud, Python, microservice/API development, JavaScript, relational databases, data structures and algorithms; familiarity with middleware such as MySQL, Redis, Kafka. Passionate about latest technology and curious to learn all aspects of trading products in financial and crypto markets (spot, futures, swap, options, structured products). Analytical with a proactive, growth-minded mindset; comfortable navigating ambiguity with a global perspective. Experience in automated testing and continuous integration. Nice to Haves
Experience in internships or freelance projects; designed and developed microservices or cross-browser development. Comfortable with cloud-based Linux environments; knowledge of multi-threading and distributed architecture; familiar with Kafka and daily tools (git, Jira, etc.).
