Job Description: The Quality Assurance Consultant will assess current operations with regards to quality inspections for incoming, in-process and final, both automated and manual production—while ensuring changes are practical for a bilingual (Spanish/English) workforce. A QA/QC process document will be created along with an in-house “train-the-trainer”. Additionally, recommendations for an MES/ERP to support the quality SOP is highly desired. Key Objectives

Assess Manual processes: Conduct assessment of the manual manufacturing processes and assess current manufacturing processes, paying close attention to current inspections. Standard Operation Procedures: Develop standard operating procedures for a quality inspection process. This must include incoming, in-process and final inspections. Today there are little documented processes, especially in the area of in-process inspections. MES/ERP: Understand the current ERP and potential MES solution to prescribe a solution that allows the manufacturing personnel to enter inspection data directly into the software. Training: Develop training and train the trainers. Responsibilities

Lead a structured current-state assessment: Assess and document current manufacturing processes, especially inspections. Quantify the operational baseline of current inspection procedures. Design and pilot future-state workflows for inspection processes; create standard work, staffing plans, and cross-training matrices. Use of inspecting veneers, gauges, etc and not moving beyond into CMM. The operators must use manual tools. Build dual-language documentation (SOPs, checklists, visual work instructions) and deliver hands-on operator and lead training. The SOP and training material must be digital, online documentation. Provide weekly progress updates and final executive read-out. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience). Experience introducing new quality processes, especially in the area of manufacturing inspections. 7+ years improving discrete manufacturing (sheet-metal fabrication strongly preferred). Professional Fluency in Spanish and English is a must, with the ability to train, create processes, and write technical documentation in both languages Comfortable with basic ERP/MES software and exposure to light MES/ERP workflows (work orders, backflush, scan points). Experience with digital-based SOP and training, preferably in the recommended ERP/MES. Strong facilitator and change-agent; able to win adoption with frontline teams and supervisors. Experience with precision measurement tools (e.g. gauges, micrometers and calipers). Experience with ISO 9001. Nice to Have

Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt. Basic blueprint drawing reading. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic ERP and Pico MES. Familiarity with HVAC/Air-Movement components or A/V sheet-metal parts. Key deliverables are work-instructions and inspection instructions. Current-state assessment report with baseline metrics and constraints. Need a roadmap for the Quality organization and the ERP/MES software integration. Dual-language SOPs, standard work, and training. Training completion records and a sustainment plan. Executive read-out summarizing process improvement, and next-step investments. Recommendation on ERP/MES software to be implemented. Seniority level
