Position Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented senior accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The senior accountant's responsibilities include managing all accounts payable functions, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with monthly invoicing, audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. To be successful as a senior accountant, you should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Deltek - Costpoint and strong financial analysis skills. An outstanding senior accountant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure. $90,000/annually Responsibilities
Accounts Payable - review invoices, get appropriate approvals, enter, and post in Deltek. Reconcile company credit cards. Keep track of all consultant and vendor purchase orders in Deltek. Assist with monthly customer billing/invoicing. Monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations as assigned. Assist other finance team members as needed. Respond to emails related to vendor invoices, payments, and other such inquiries. Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures. Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned. Assist in annual financial statements audit. Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree
in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of
five (5) years
of relevant work experience in accounting;
OR
a
High School Diploma
and
nine (9) years
of relevant work experience in accounting. Working knowledge of Deltek/Costpoint Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Strong financial analysis skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational and stress management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
