Manager - Data Center Operations Role: Day Shift The Manager - Data Center Operations oversees operational integrity and regulatory compliance of the data center electrical, mechanical, fire life safety systems, and communications infrastructure. Responsibilities

Serve as the data center subject matter expert for electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems. Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems (Electrical, Mechanical, Building Monitoring, and Control). Track and trend site efficiencies and energy consumption. Improve data center operational efficiency while maintaining uptime and reducing costs; collaborate across functions on technologies and integrated systems. Manage shifts, assign work, approve time off, and mentor junior staff. Provide training and ensure technicians are qualified; stay current with code and standards revisions. Oversee vendor management, service contracts, procurement, and billing processes. Develop and manage budgets (CapEx and OpEx) and forecast financials; model project ROI. Lead commissioning activities within the data center. Create detailed technical procedures for maintenance events, emergencies, and site evolutions; perform technical reviews of procedures and company standards. Manage site audits (internal and external) and ensure compliance with standards. Prevent unplanned outages and manage data floor/back-of-house loading for maximum cooling efficiency. Provide mechanical and integrated control expertise for the data center; utilize CMMS systems. Ensure SLA alignment and data uploads to OSS; deliver day-to-day customer service and on-call support as needed. Promote CoreSite’s principles of operational excellence and guiding principles. Lead special projects and collaborate with the Data Center Senior Manager and Market Director on initiatives. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Interaction with Others This position requires interaction with CoreSite personnel, vendors, partners, contractors, and clients. Knowledge Expert understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in a data center (distribution, transformers, PLCs, generators, switchgear, UPS, PDU, chilled water, CRAC/CRAH, humidification). Knowledge of NEC, NFPA standards and building codes related to fire life safety; fiber optics/cabling best practices; industrial safety standards; data trending and monitoring systems; energy efficiency. Proficiency in commissioning electrical, mechanical, protection, and controls systems. Skills 5–7+ years in installing, maintaining, or troubleshooting large commercial/industrial systems (Chilled water, large centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, water treatment, VFDs, pumps, HVAC, CRAC/CRAH, humidification, BMS/PLC controls, diesel gen-sets, power distribution). Experience managing people, vendors, projects (budgeting, scheduling, scope, contracts). Strong written and verbal communication; familiarity with MS Office and project tools. Abilities Effective customer and internal communication; coordinate with contractors for maintenance or upgrades. Learn quickly, address issues during and after normal hours; operate in a process-driven team environment. Analytical problem-solving and multi-tasking across projects; operate hand/tools and electrical testing equipment. Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. 7+ years in mechanical/electrical roles within critical facilities (data center/hospital/power plant preferred). 3–5 years’ experience in preventative maintenance programs and budgets; vendor and project management; policy/procedure writing; people management. Physical Demands

Base salary between $100,000 and $110,000 annually. Eligible for annual bonus and equity based on performance. Posting Timeline
