* Using both EQ and IQ to effectively communicate ideas and influence decisions with associates across the Devices, Packaging, & Process (DPP) organization, Commercial, Marketing, Program Strategy Teams, and other Pharmaceutical Manufacturing & Development (PDM) functions, help develop both the vision and an actionable plan for a comprehensive long-term innovation pipeline for DPP across all of Gilead’s Therapeutic Areas.* Through a strong learning agility, excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, and a nimble, solution-oriented mindset, lead scenario planning for potential new development programs for PDM. Represent DPP and help drive strategic decisions on program investment within PDM.* Serve as the DPP core team member on multiple early-stage (pre-pivotal) PDM programs, reaching across boundaries to ensure cross-functional program support and clinical success.* Working hand in hand with Human Factors Engineering, ensure project strategies are inclusive of human-centered design and human factors principles and methodologies, across multiple programs in early-stage feasibility / development.* Lead feasibility-stage device innovation programs through technical landscaping, prototyping and technical performance assessment, requirements mapping, and ultimate down-selection and recommendation for drug delivery device solutions to advance into full product development. Work closely with the Human Factors & Usability team, as well as the Packaging & Labeling team, to identify critical and unique user needs, and opportunities for game-changing innovation in these areas to complement device solutions. Further collaborate with all DPP and adjacent functions to ultimately land on superior *product system solutions*. Represent DPP Innovation at all levels of leadership to help drive enterprise endorsement for selected product system solutions.* Manage a network of external engineering partners and suppliers to help accelerate innovation and both build and expand Gilead’s drug delivery device capabilities.* Manage a team of scientists and engineers working on multiple research and feasibility programs.* Preferred candidate will also have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business.* Qualified candidates should be self-motivated and organized, knowledgeable of relevant scientific literature, passionate about the patients we serve, creative, open-minded, highly motivated, results-oriented, and have high learning agility.* The ideal candidate will be both technically strong and possess strong business acumen, with a proven track record in the successful innovation, development, and commercialization of combination devices from both a technical and strategic perspective.* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with ability to lead through dotted lines and influence decisions at all levels.* Working knowledge of FDA, EMA, and cGMP standards for combination products. #J-18808-Ljbffr
