About the Firm
Our client, a leading middle-market investment banking advisory firm headquartered in San Francisco, is seeking a high-performing Investment Banking Associate to join its Technology coverage team.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Execution : Lead execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A, IPOs, and capital raise transactions across the technology space.
Client Interaction : Serve as a key point of contact for clients, participating in meetings, presentations, and ongoing relationship management.
Valuation & Financial Modeling : Build and review complex financial models (DCF, LBO, comps, precedent transactions) to support transaction analysis.
Due Diligence : Oversee and coordinate due diligence efforts, including data room management and interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
Marketing & Pitching : Assist senior bankers in preparing pitch books and marketing materials for new business development efforts.
Mentorship : Guide and train Analysts and Interns, reviewing deliverables and supporting professional development.
Qualifications
Experience : 3–5 years of experience in investment banking, preferably with a focus on the technology sector.
Education : Bachelor's degree from a top-tier institution; MBA or other advanced degrees a plus but not required.
Technical Skills : Exceptional proficiency in financial modeling, PowerPoint presentations, and deal process management.
Sector Knowledge : Deep understanding of the technology landscape (particularly software, SaaS, or fintech), key trends, and strategic drivers.
Work Ethic & Attitude : High level of initiative, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Licensing : Series 79 and 63.
