Company Description

AXION

is a deep-tech startup building non-invasive brain-computer interfaces. For millions with motor impairments, simple digital interactions like clicking a button or sending a message can take painfully long minutes using current assistive technologies. Our first product, AXION Click, lets people control devices using nothing but their eyes and brainwaves. Our powerful AI model combines precise eye-tracking with untapped neural signals from a comfortable, non-invasive headband to decode your intention in real-time. This isn’t just assistive tech, it’s superhuman.

We are creating the foundation for the next era of human-computer interaction. We are a team of passionate researchers and engineers developing technology that doesn’t just solve today’s accessibility challenges but transforms how everyone interacts with digital devices.

Role Description

As a Research Coordinator, you will run hands-on participant studies end-to-end. You’ll set up EEG wearables, guide users through tasks, keep the data clean, and keep the schedule full. The datasets you collect will directly train and validate our models. Every session you run directly improves a product that will transform real lives.

What You’ll Do

Set up and calibrate EEG systems and eye-tracking equipment on study participants Guide participants through experimental protocols while monitoring real-time data quality Troubleshoot technical issues on the fly Build and maintain our participant pipeline through active recruitment and relationship management Schedule and coordinate study sessions, ensuring smooth logistics Work directly with our engineering team to identify data anomalies and improve collection methods Capture participant feedback and translate it into clear product and protocol improvements Help establish best practices as we scale data collection

What We’re Looking For

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field 1-2 years hands-on experience with EEG data collection (academic labs, clinical trials, or industry) Comfort working with diverse populations, including individuals with motor impairments Strong troubleshooting instincts Exceptional attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture Clear communication skills with both technical teams and non-technical participants Preferred: Experience with Tobii or similar eye-tracking systems Familiarity with IRB protocols and human subjects research compliance Basic programming skills (Python, MATLAB) for data quality checks Experience in clinical or rehabilitation settings

You’ll fit right in if

You like owning outcomes over process theater and want your work to matter immediately You want to be part of making sci-fi real and can handle the intensity that comes with it
