Revenue Systems Manager (Planner VI)
and take the lead in managing the financial backbone of our multimodal transit system. In this leadership role, you will oversee the technology, strategy, and operations behind electronic fare collection to ensure every ride is supported by efficient, secure, and future-ready revenue systems. This position supports public transportation, innovative system management, and financial leadership.
Responsibilities
Oversee the development and implementation of software, hardware and policy enhancements to the electronic revenue collection system. Oversee technical modifications of existing electronic revenue collection equipment and direct integration of new systems and technology enhancements. Manage electronic revenue collection system contracts, relationships, and budget. Oversee the management and coordination of vendors, contractors, and consultants. Responsible for electronic and cash revenue collection, processing, reconciliation, compliance, operations, contractors, and commercial services relationships for multimodal transit. Review, inspect, and accept contractor submittals such as invoices, performance reports, change requests, plans, procedures, work instructions and training materials, including competency tracking and assurance. Engage in surveillance, inspection, investigation, audit, and reporting activities to ensure programs satisfy contract, plan, procedure, and work instruction requirements, and applicable laws and regulations. Establish and maintain relationships with other agencies, Lead Operations and Maintenance Contractors, and City and County of Honolulu Departments to fulfill requests, support special projects, and resolve issues. Demonstrate a commitment to safety in all aspects of work. Special Work Requirements
Must be able to handle confidential information. This position is designated as a Disaster Response Worker with possible night and weekend work during emergencies. On-the-job hazards and safety issues may be encountered during inspections at transit facilities or incident sites. Regular office hour and work schedule changes may include weekdays, weekends, and hours outside of 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Application and Salary

Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, public administration or a related field. Five years of professional (post-bachelor's degree, non-clerical) fare revenue operation, systems and program experience as a primary function in a large public or private transportation or financial organization. This experience must demonstrate: Knowledge of revenue operations and automated revenue collection systems, including advanced and emerging technologies. Knowledge of revenue collection technology for multimodal services, including equipment, engineering and schematics. Knowledge of financial recordkeeping and cash transaction procedures. Knowledge of software design, development, and troubleshooting; programming techniques and languages. Knowledge of supervisory control and data acquisition technology. Knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, financial forecasting, statistics and analysis. Ability to compile, analyze and interpret complex data; verify accuracy of financial data and reports. Ability to perform studies and evaluations of fare collection equipment; analyze and evaluate financial information and contracts for compliance. Ability to interpret and explain revenue control and handling policies; analyze for theft or fraud; prepare budget requests. Ability to review facility designs for fare collection equipment; communicate effectively in writing and orally; speak to large groups and the media; establish and maintain working relationships with other organizations, including the private sector. Note:
Having the required years of experience alone does not qualify; the overall scope, level and responsibility must demonstrate ability to perform duties. License Requirement:
Possession of an appropriate valid driver's license (type 3/automobile). Education and Experience Evaluation
