F & B General Manager - Snow Summit
Pay Range:
Negotiable Starting pay range $80,000/year
Job Summary The General Manager at Bear Mountain is responsible for many key aspects of the day-to-day operations for the Food and Beverage department at Big Bear Mountain Resort, from verifying schedules to managing budgets. This position will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food and beverage operations, ensuring smooth daily functioning, high-quality service, and profitability. They are responsible for managing staff, controlling inventory, and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Greets, directs and responds to guest questions and needs in a timely manner
Maintain food and beverage operations within budget and to the highest standards
Maintain company and uniform safety standards
Recruiting, hiring and training all staff, including supervisors
Verifying schedules before being published by the supervisors
Monitor daily finances including sales, orders and labor
Enforcing food handling and alcohol service regulations on your property to stay in compliance with state and company regulations
Championing new innovative ideas to help the property bring in more attention and income
Handling customer complaints in a timely manner
Complete a monthly inventory account of your location and assist where needed during the month-end close out
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred, Associate's degree required; or equivalent and relevant experience
At least 3-5 years' experience
Superior quantitative, oral and written communications and problem-solving/strategizing skills
Proactive mindset to anticipate and support changes in our business
Demonstrates high standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior
Strong supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills
Strong work ethic, intense drive, and initiative for quality and customer service
Proficient computer skills preferred
