Position: Senior Network Engineer Location: Palo Alto, CA Job Description: As a Senior Network Engineer, you will work with talented colleagues on challenging projects within the TechOps Infrastructure. Role focus: Manage and support Network Infrastructure in AWS, Azure & GCP Gov Clouds used for all Federal development and hosting services. Responsibilities
Responsibilities Include : Manage and support all Network & Security Infrastructure running on AWS, GCP & Azure Clouds. Ensure network stability and performance for On-Premises and Public Cloud networks. Provide support for network infrastructure problems by monitoring the team's support queue, troubleshooting and diagnosing problems, identifying the root cause of critical issues, and ensuring corrective action is taken following problem identification. Experience You'll Need
Experience You'll Need : 10+ years of extensive network engineering experience, including architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale data center and public cloud networks. Proficiency across AWS, Azure, and GCP; public cloud network certifications are a plus (at least one cloud experience is required). Understanding of Enterprise Network design, including Data Center, Campus, Public Cloud, and Global WAN connectivity. Knowledge of networking technologies: IPv4/IPv6, BGP/MBGP, VPN, L2 switching, and VXLAN. Understanding of L2/L3 networking protocols. Hands-on experience with multiple hardware vendors (e.g., Cisco IOS, NX-OS), ASR, Meraki, Broadcom, Mellanox, Palo Alto Networks; Fortinet experience is a plus. Experience with load balancers (Citrix NetScaler preferred, AVI Load Balancer, NGINX, and HAProxy). Knowledge of network security, including Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), 802.1x, Network Authentication Systems, and VPN technologies. Automation skills in Python and Terraform.
