Overview
This is a field sales role in Charlotte, NC and surrounding cities. You must live in the area for this 40-70% travel role; however minimal overnights are required. Note: This description reflects Merz Therapeutics’ privately held, family-owned culture and focus on patient care. Responsibilities
Identify new/untapped hospital and healthcare system opportunities and drive profitable revenue within these accounts by initiating, developing, and delivering solutions that improve customer and patient experiences. Investigate and understand each account’s environment, including goals, objectives, strategies, and competitive situations. Develop and maintain relationships with key senior account stakeholders, serving as the main point of contact for C-Suite, VP-level administration, and department chairs in healthcare/hospital systems. Expand opportunities by bringing high-level knowledge, insights, relationships, and strategies to enhance Merz Therapeutics’ value proposition and achieve optimal access for our brands within strategic accounts. Identify regional and national hospital/healthcare system external experts and provide insights back to the organization to support understanding of customer needs and value proposition development. Analyze sales and market trends to identify future business opportunities and strive to meet or exceed sales goals. Utilize a consultative selling process to promote Merz Therapeutics products for approved indications and demonstrate Total Office Call and Hospital Selling Skills. Detail and sample customers with appropriate frequency; develop and maintain a territory business/action plan; maintain product/disease state knowledge, market data, and marketplace dynamics. Identify and maintain customer databases using the Sales Force Automation system and adjust selling strategies using marketing data at the customer and territory level. Partner with local advocacy groups within the territory and collaborate with cross-functional teammates, Medical Affairs when appropriate, and corporate Managed Markets initiatives. Navigate managed care obstacles and opportunities with knowledge of Managed Care, Specialty Pharmacy, Medicare Part B, and State Medicaid selling and reimbursement environments. Maintain compliance with Merz Therapeutics promotional and commercial policies and complete administrative requirements within established timeframes. 3+ years of specialty sales experience (pharmaceutical/biotech preferred). Preferred Experience
Buy and Bill injectable experience Neurology experience Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals Education
