Overview

The Child and Special Needs Unit Program Director maintains direct oversight of the clinical and administrative operations of Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospitals’ Child and Special Needs Unit. The Program Director will be responsible for establishing a strong child behavioral health model that guides the program’s clinical framework and service provision. Shift details:

Full-time 40 hours per week Responsibilities

Lead a multidisciplinary team of clinical/consultative and support staff, to support the social-emotional, behavioral, and educational development of children the program cares for. Ensure the collection, review, analysis, and reporting of data related to outcomes for children, families, and programs served. Facilitate team meetings and training for staff, childcare providers, parents/caregivers, and external stakeholders. Using a range of techniques, including positive behavioral support, and a treatment model that designed to help stabilize children in crisis, reduce high-risk symptoms, and support children and special needs child-adolescence as they build skills related to overcoming behavioral health challenges. Assist with structured daily programming that is designed to engage each patient in a range of developmentally appropriate therapy, school, and daily living experiences, as well as therapeutic activities to help organize children/adolescents in a time of crisis, provide opportunities to learn and practice coping skills, and offer a measure of each child’s response to a different situation. Work closely and in collaboration with Nursing staff to ensure patient care and regulatory requirements are met. Administratively, the ProgramDirector will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, orienting, training, supervising, and managing staff, comprising clinical consultants and specialized support staff. They will familiarize themselves with the NRPPD staffing grid, balance budgeted FTEs along with other cost for the units. Education and/or Licensure

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from accredited school. Valid Massachusetts RN license in good standing. Experience

2+ years of managerial/clinical experience in a therapeutic treatment setting that serves young children and Special Needs population. Computer proficiency, in the use of computer systems for clinical information management. Excellent oral/ written communication skills. Able to demonstrate ability to produce written reports in a timely manner. Experience working within an acute psychiatric setting with supervisory experience. Salary: $94,952 - $156,499.20 Benefits
