We are seeking a full-time
Real Estate Director
with experience in Development and the Medical sector. The Real Estate Director will be responsible for the identification, acquisition, development, and management of real estate opportunities that align with the organization’s strategic vision. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with further developing current Real Estate Strategy and Playbook development. Independently source and evaluate potential sites in alignment with across assigned regions using market intelligence, boots-on-the-ground insights, and internal selection criteria. Use a blend of hard data and local intuition to assess visibility, access, area growth, competition count, traffic patterns, and zoning restrictions. Personally conduct site visits, grade sites, and record qualitative field assessments. Prioritize sites in areas where competitive barriers (zoning, tax, physical layout) protect margin and long-term value Review and evaluation of trade areas and proposed purchase & lease locations that adhere to the corporate real estate growth strategy. Deal Making – full understanding of retail deal making and land acquisition on behalf of a national retailer. Broker/Developer Management – Manage external brokerage and developer relationships on the identification and evaluation of proposed purchase or lease locations. Regularly report on acquisition pipeline and key market trends to executive leadership Track and monitor post-acquisition performance, ensuring that assets meet or exceed projected returns Site Presentation – Responsible for the preparation of a PowerPoint deck for submission and presentation to the Real Estate Committee. In depth market knowledge of the medical landscape, competition profile, and trending national locations Negotiation – Oversee the negotiation of Letter of Intents and contracts for proposed Purchase or Lease locations. Deal Management – Responsible for the management of the contractual deal terms and ownership relationship to ensure a timely closing of the transaction and the successful development of a new location. Lead preparation of Real Estate Committee packages (maps, competitive overlays, commentary, scorecards). Collaborate with internal teams—including Legal, FP&A, Development, and Construction—during the evaluation phase to ensure Due Diligence items are received and permits are secured prior to closing. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business administration, finance, or a related field required. 7+ years of experience in real estate site selection, acquisitions, development, or brokerage — preferably in Development and Medical. Proven ability to evaluate markets and site-level opportunities independently and persuasively. Familiarity with the National Market is preferred. Travel Required Strong negotiation and land acquisition skills. Analytical mindset with comfort using Excel and mapping/GIS tools such such as CoStar, Buxton, Placer.ai, and Definitive Health Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
