We are seeking an Asset Manager to oversee a diverse collection of income-producing residential and mixed-use properties. This role involves comprehensive financial management and team supervision to ensure optimal property performance.
You'll manage the financial operations of our property portfolio, combining analytical skills with supervisory responsibilities to ensure each property meets performance standards. This position involves financial analysis, budget management, and staff development across multiple property locations.
What You’ll Do Financial Strategy & Performance
Revenue Management : Identify value opportunities across the portfolio and work to improve property financial performance
Budget Development : Create and manage annual operating and capital budgets, focusing on cost reduction through improved processes and strategic purchasing
Performance Analysis : Conduct variance analyses and performance assessments to support executive decision-making
Leadership & Development
Team Management : Supervise and develop site teams, property managers, and administrative staff to improve fiscal responsibility and operational effectiveness
Departmental Collaboration : Work with directors throughout the organization to implement new policies, technologies, and industry practices
Staff Training : Provide guidance and training to property management professionals
Operations Management
Contract Review : Evaluate and manage existing contracts to improve value and reduce risk
Technology Implementation : Stay current with industry trends and implement relevant technologies for asset and property management
Risk Assessment : Identify operational risks and develop control systems to protect asset value
Stakeholder Relations
Investor Communications : Manage partner, agency, and investor relationships and handle related inquiries and requests
Compliance Management : Handle regulatory requirements including HUD protocols, tax issues, and subsidy programs
Insurance Administration : Manage insurance administration and claims processes
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management : Ensure properties meet or exceed budgeted Net Operating Income (NOI) while maintaining appropriate cash flow and reserve levels
Process Improvement : Develop procurement initiatives, grant acquisition strategies, and operational efficiencies for implementation across the company
Data Analysis : Monitor utility consumption, track vendor performance, and manage tenant charge structures
Strategic Planning : Provide input to capital planning processes and 5-year expenditure planning
Performance Expectations
Financial Targets : All properties will meet annual operating budget goals
Reporting Requirements : Submit quarterly metrics and annual performance summaries as scheduled
Operational Improvements : Demonstrate improvements in operational efficiency and cost management
Staff Development : Support growth in site staff competency and professionalism
