Overview
A leader in the FinTech industry is seeking a Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management to join their team in New York in a hybrid role. Reporting to the Head of Risk and the Chief Risk Officer, this position will play a key role in driving enterprise-wide risk strategies, overseeing operational and technology risk management, and contributing to the evolution of the firm’s Enterprise Risk Management framework. $180,000.00/yr - $230,000.00/yr Job Responsibilities
Oversee the identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of operational and technology risks. Lead the planning and execution of the firm-wide Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program, collaborating with the first line of defense (FLOD). Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework to drive effective risk management strategies. Serve as Risk Relationship Manager for Operations and Technology business units, providing second-line review, challenge, and partnership. Provide thought leadership and constructive challenge to the first line of defense on risk-related matters. Support the evolution of the ERM Framework, ensuring consistency in measurement and methodology, and maintain Key Risk Indicators. Manage, mentor, and develop junior team members. Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a related field. 6–8 years of risk management experience as a subject matter expert in Enterprise or Operational Risk Management, preferably within financial services. 10–12 years of financial services experience managing and implementing enterprise-wide projects, handling multiple priorities, process decomposition and reengineering, risk assessments, due diligence, Operational Risk Management, and/or Technology Risk Management. Extensive experience leading firmwide RCSA programs, including process identification, definition and mapping; risk identification, articulation, and assessment; and control design and operational effectiveness assessment (including testing). Proven experience contributing to the development or maintenance of an ERM or Technology Risk framework in a complex, dynamic organization. Experience working with a GRC platform (e.g., Archer, OpenPages, or in-house solutions).
